The Evaluator provides the most valuable and powerful tool for modern business management – Knowledge - which when harnessed to the Soft Skills of your people will help create a dynamic business environment. The ability to derive accurate, real time intelligence on your own business, guarantees not only increased production and higher profits, but also market domination via an improved competitive edge as your organisation, and the people within it, create the opportunities for the 21st century.
Importantly The Evaluator highlights and bridges any Knowledge-Soft Skills gaps by integrating various processes into core business functions by mapping and assessing 30 key areas of the management function. After analysing the received information, it provides a full diagnostic output. The outcome is a report that presents a company’s current ongoing business viability status and audit trail, including a Maturity Index, Competency Factor, Risk Identification and Risk Control Documents, as well as a Consitency Monitor with a 60 month (5 year) action program. The assessment information is centered on the three headings of: Urgent Overview, Medium Term Overview and On-going Continuous Improvement. This extremely valuable report makes the whole difference between business vulnerability and guaranteed long term financial stability.
The Four Layers Process
The first level of The Evaluator is the basic statistical overview. This overview reflects how the organisation currently integrates CSR/Sustainable Development practices into its current business environment, reporting and management processes. The overview highlights the critical overall business strategy of the organisation as it demonstrates the process and implementation choices an organisation is making.
The first layer of the tool is the questionnaire and the knowledge repository:
The Questionnaire provides two attributes:
(1) By filling in the detailed questionnaire and the accompanying knowledge repository a company will not only create a central information database but also enable the tool to start to attach itself to the organisations existing processes and management systems.
(2) During the analysis The Evaluator will highlight for an organisation areas of weakness including: knowledge, KPI's and benchmarks. In addition, for organisations gathering information from multiple locations, the tool will highlight knowledge/data discrepancies.
The Knowledge Repository is an extremely important function as it keeps track of all information relevant to each of the 30 key sections including; tracking who is responsible for each section of information, highlighting when the information was last updated and where the information was derived from. It is guaranteed to make you and your business team more effective then ever before. The Evaluator knowledge repository allows you to quickly extract and capture the knowledge and experience of your team members - both locally, nationally and internationally.
- The CSR Maturity Index – provides a maturity rating from 0-100 for each of the 30 key management functions to indicate how well CSR is integrated into business processes.
- The Competency Factor - indicates the level of accuracy of the received information in relations to a range of critical issues that affect the company’s ability to integrate CSR/Sustainable Development functions into it’s current management processes; all taken from the perspective of its overall business environment.
- The Spider Diagram – a powerful graphical tool that enables a company to demonstrate their commitment to a continual improvement process.

The second layer of The Evaluator is dedicated to the process improvement overview.
This overview highlights across the whole spectrum of CSR/Sustainable Development a company’s process improvement program; identified under three specific headings: Urgent, Medium Term and On-Going Continuous Improvement. This perspective is essential to the overall business strategy of the organization as it clearly illustrates the choices an organization is making. The tool will show an accurate perspective on where the company needs to re-evaluate its value proposition model to make necessary process improvements for long term prosperity. The tool will provide organizations with a framework for process improvement via a range of sample workshops.
The third layer is business risk management process alignment and is driven by a wide range of stakeholder perspectives.
This perspective defines the risk locations where an organisation must strengthen their risk management strategies to drive forward a prosperous and viable business. The Evaluator offers organisations the facility to align their process improvement with classic business risk management criteria. This facility within the tool will enable risk managers, process/activity owners and senior managers alike to clearly understand their responsibilities and accountabilities within their own organisation's structures.

The fourth layer of The Evaluator is the CSR/Sustainable Development aspects of the Business Audit.

This activity is driven by the financial need to assess business performance and growth. The tool is invaluable to an organisation's internal financial department and or its external Financial Auditors. The Evaluator was developed on the foundations of classic financial accounting processes among other globally recognized standards, guidelines and regulations. The tool provides a view as to the level of CSR assurance a company could reasonably expect to achieve in relation to the current four levels of financial reporting criteria. The tool then goes on to provide sample verification statements for each one of the levels of audit opinion. In addition, this activity sees the development of risk identification and risk control documents, bringing together financial, environmental and social auditors into one team.
The tool then completes a Business Viability Health–Check by examining the close relationship between Data Stability (including the increasingly important data associated with the management of diversity) and Corporate Governance issues. As part of it's background checking on the status of likely reporting misstatement.
In conclusion, the tool seeks to provide practical solutions and support to companies who want to remain profitable and financially viable now and in the future. The Evaluator framework will significantly help manage, monitor and communicate the current state of the company to both in-house and external stakeholders by accurately pin-pointing critical and continual improvement issues that will ensure total value creation.
